Well, my opinion may be biased but I believe all in all everything went well. I discussed with a few attendees about things that went wrong and they had no idea what I was talking about. I think it's things that we as DJ's see but the general public doesn't.
So since my opinion may be biased I'll let DJ Koz tell you his side of things. He'll get back to you later tonight or tomorrow because he's got 2 gigs today.

Martin PR-1. Here's a better shot of the setup a few hours before the party. Look at the video screen. You can't make it out well, but you can the actual video doesn't reach the top of the screen. That's because I have a black background with "Congratulations Chris & Priscilla" written there. Then on the left hand side I have the date written vertically.

Let me start off by saying that the party went very well. I will try to make it short and sweet.
Nothing beats a live DJ but the way everything was setup as far as song selection, videos being played 85% of the time and a photo montage playing sparatically throughout the night was very good. I was very tempted to bring in my rack (yes i had it with me because of the two parties I had on Saturday) and rock the crowd during the party (I use mostly cds and Chris had no cd players with him). I didn't bring it in. We were losing the crowd once in a while. Chris put a lot of time and effort into this party and it was very much worth it. The bottom line was that both Priscilla and Chris would be happy. Well let me say they were very happy and everyone had a great time.
I will send Chris pictures that I personally took and I will let him post what he wants.

Let me state that the people leaving the dance floor was mostly a result of one song ending and the next song starting off slowly or with low volume. For example, people were dancing to an oldies set when Runaround Sue came on. I would always just cut the whole vocal beginning and just mix into when the music starts when DJ'ing live. For my party I just let the beginning vocal play and some people left during that. I could have cut the beginning vocals off the song prior to the event but I thought people would enjoy singing the beginning. Nope, Didn't really work that way.
We got MANY people saying "If this is the engagement party, what is the wedding going to be like?!"
We've got a lot to live up to. lol
What's funny is that my fiancee was a little hesitant about me doing to event myself because she thought I would be behind the booth all night. She was also scared about a computer glitch or something whiloe I was dancing. She LOVED the setup and especially the montage. She was especially relieved when I told her DJ Koz would be coming to help with things.
She even mentioned a few times about doing the same thing for the wedding, no joke.
Not sure how I'm going to be able to top this event. lol

Hire Koz and be done with it Chris. Hes proven his merit and also done it the ODJT way thanks KOZ for being family on that night.
