So many negative Gus' out there...

Let's look at the positives of what we do and how lucky we are to be doing it.....

We get to go to parties for a living and play music and watch people have a good time. I still even enjoy seeing people boogie to "Celebration" after all these years! I even bop along most of the time.

Look at the cool toys we get to buy! And let's be honest,,, most lights and bad asss sound stuff we buy, it's for us because we like it that way. yes we want to make our clients happy, but how cool is it to watch a neat light show and hear great sounding music.

We get to have fun.... come on,,,, a lot of our "work" may be hard, but how fun is our job!!!!

We are mostly our own bosses,,, maybe this is more for the Full Time guys,,, No slam here... but as full time, we are our own bosses.... don't want to work this month? Cool, you don't have to. Want to bust your butt and work 15 shows, cool you can. Want to give a break to someone who may need it... bingo, can do.... We only have to answer to us!

We get to have fun!

My DJing got me to move to Maui with a woman who is supportive and loves me.

Bitcch moan, complain, vent all you want... let's hear some positive stuff.

I live and occasionally DJ in Florida where the weather is wonderful and the people are friendly. When I look back, these are going to be my "good old days". I'm positive.

No complaints from me Chucky...

I could make a heck of a lot more money writing some other software -- but I get good tunes everyday, get to talk to folks all over the world, and get to goof off a lot as well

I can walk in almost any venue I want now, uninvited. It's a COOL business to be in, and we should be thankful we have it... :sqcool:

I positively can't stand people who are positive :)

Seriously though, every day I roll out of bed, can still walk, talk and see is a good day for me!

I listened to yer latest podcast Patrick -- 2 out of 3 ain't bad... :sqlaugh:  :sqwink:

Of all my Mother's Children
I love myself the best.
And when my arse is full
The Devil can have the rest.
:rofl::sqlaugh:

I always think back to when I was a kid working at a Burger King and making $3.55/hr...Most weeks working 40+ hours and I mean working...there was no slacking back in those days. Then I would go out on Friday and Saturday nights, play some tunes, work 4 hours each night, have people buy me beer, and make alot more that night than I would make slogging burgers in a week

I work alot less than the average worker around here and make alot more and I love what I do how good is that?

A bad day DJing is better than a good day at a real job

Agreed with Patrick. Any day I can get out of bed and get around is a good day. :)

We don't do as much DJing as we once did, semi-retired and all that. But when we do a show, it's special. Ya meet so many nice people in this business. Everyone is in good spirits, everyone is getting together for a party.

I am blessed with a good life and good friends. Shirl will be retiring soon and she's ecstatic about that. We have a roof over our heads. It's out in the country, quiet and surrounded by trees. The toilet works. The shower works. We won't be featured in Home and Garden but it's clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy.

I thank the good Lord every day for a good job and our health. I am thankful for a bowl of beans on the table and cold beer in the Frigidaire.

Folks at work call me Smiley. Guess it's because I'm always smiling. Life is good and we could not ask for more. :)

Hey, I like that song... :)

You think that's bad, I awoke to Butterfly Kisses this morning -- wanna know what that does to yer psyche on a Sunday morning coming down... :sqerr:

Here I was, dreaming about Joan Jett and Shania, and the dog barked, and that song became my whole day :sqerr: :sqeek:

Thank the Good Lord for rum and beer :)

A Positive Thought.

When I was young and growing up, they all thought I was a cute lil acorn. Nowadays they say that I have grown up to be a complete nut! :sqeek:

Positive * Positive * Positive

Let's see what I can write that's positive?????

Hmmm........................

I am a Full Time DJ
Can't say that I get bored

Playing great music
And Partying for sure

The clients pay me lots of cash
To play 4 hours , then I dash

I don't play for fun
I play for the buck

So I can go to Hawaai
And see my friend Chuck!

Mahalo!

(I'll be there Wednesday)
