All events have a timeline. Dinner will be prepared and eaten at a specific time, which may or may not follow an event. Everything else also follows a timeline but may or may not occur at that specific time.

I also think you should stop addressing people as stupid and such, being derogatory towards and insulting your peers - unless you're prepared to receive it back. With Danno (@Big Dan) wanting to right the ship, I imagine that he will not tolerate this kind of behavior.

To think that you call yourself a professional with lots of knowledge and experience .. and wanting to teach and set the example? Not on this planet.

Someone just alerted me to this post and thus I have read it and will reply Have you read Post # 142 and # 176 in this thread/ I did not see you call out your buddy on those or the many ones (I have lots documented) where you all have called Mix everything from an Idiot to a thief or when your bigoted friend come on with his rants that Dan had to call him out on. Where were you then? You are taking my postings out of context and trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Who are you the Guardian of ODJT? Go get a life. You are another one always joining in a fray with nothing of your own to contribute. Where are your Gig Reports. At least Mix is doing Gigs, where are yours? All you do is troll and stir pots and be pansy-like to your buddies posts .

Were you defending Mix during all of this? I'm certain I can find you calling Mix names. Is this the level you have to resort to - slinging mud? Show them and let the name calling begin then. I'm certain that I and others can find TONS of crap to throw at you. Do you REALLY want to go down this road?

FWIW, stealing does make you a thief. I'd also like to add that most people still talk to Mix. In addition, Mix is not afraid to admit when he is wrong.

I like how you toss people around depending on what you like / don't like about them. You're my friend too - should I let Ricky come up with a name for you? Ricky, like most humans, is not perfect. Neither are you. Ricky is obviously smart enough to understand that it has to stop.

Why is it that you consistently cry foul when you get called out? You tell us to have thick skin and deal with it - yet you can't deal with it when the tables are turned. Maybe you're the one that needs the thick skin.

FWIW, if you're calling all of these threads containing facebook pictures, links to some other site (false and real), chauvet ads, etc "contributions", then I have no cares about that. I'm not here to tell these people what happened on the news .. or facebook .. or anything else. IMO, that doesn't make you valuable here .. but if you believe it does, carry on. I'm here to partake in the music world and to converse with my peers.

Finally, grow up - you're the one that cries of childish behavior but you spout it more than anyone here. If you want to be in a position to teach people or have them accept your ideas, then you have to first set the example. None of this is an example of a professional nor of a teacher. If you want to be in a group of peers, then you have to be part of that group.

Main response above. I was referring to the many times in this thread that I told him that what he was refrencing did not apply to me and my scenarios. He does not seem to understand. How would you describe someone who refuses to understand?

It DOES apply to you...And when I point out specifically why you are WRONG you resort to name calling and deflection. You are not able to defend your position with legitimate answers so you resort to name calling and deflection. You continue to embarrass yourself with your lack of knowledge when it comes to weddings

What happens when the venue tells you they're ready to cut the cake and the silverware isn't in place?

Are these real world scenarios Houston? My guess is that you pencil your answers in red and that they have absolutely nothing to do with the actual question itself LOL

Mike really! That is like asking me what will I do if I get splashed with water by a performing Whale at Sea World. I am telling you that it does not apply to me because I do not go to Sea World. Murphy's Law says it will .. If you have a planner, they just might get sick on an a hors d'oevres and be in the bathroom when the next segment comes up. Or, as it has been mentioned, they're lining up the folks to cut the cake and the utensils aren't there.

Just because it hasn't happened, doesn't mean it can't and practicing for those times makes the professional. For those that don't have planners/coordinators at their events (read most people here), the situations come up frequently, so doing those little checks and making sure things are set are just pragmatic.

I am simply responding to Houston's comments that are directed at me. Why would I not respond? Or does it bother you when he is not able to defend his argument he resorts to name calling? I actually like Houston and think he is a very valuable part of this community, just because I refuse to lay down when he keeps firing back doesn't make me rabid or insecure.

Oh and thanks for putting stupid in bold, it really carries the point, although I prefer Houston's "stoopid" as it a little more creative

Bob, I appreciate the support but forget about these buffons. What they are trying to do is force my hand so that I would say something really offensive. Maybe I should say something really offensive to see what happens because the words that they are using certainly is not found in the Dictionary. I see many others breaking the TOS rules left and right. They are trolling, following my every thread/post and baiting. They are also calling you, me and others derogatory names. Racial bigotry abounds from one of the Sponsors (Who is now very pleased that the heat is off him and directed elsewhere I am sure).

They want to go back to their little Fairytale world of posting pics on a Sunday or Monday morning of strangers dancing and calling that a Gig report, pics of speakers set up in corners and giving lame excuses that the Venue had no other space for them, pics of speakers set up almost one behind the other with nobody calling them out on it but instead telling them "Good Job" or "Looks Good". They are living for the proverbial "Pat on the back". They are the ones who are showing immaturity! The English language has words that describes certain things and the word "stupid" is just that ...a descriptive word. Yet they clamor loudly about that but have no problem in calling others "a**holes", "Idiots" and "thieves". Funny enough the ones to whom the posts are directed are not the ones complaining about the words directed to them, it is instead the Pot Stirrers who are complaining.

Yep! they would be very happy to get me out of the picture so they can have a fake idyllic atmosphere with nothing to contribute but Non DJ related subjects since most of them who complain are not real DJs anyway, I don't see them posting Gig reports. Are they so afraid of criticism if they do? I think they are more afraid they won't get the rubber stamped "Pat of approval" on their backs. Yep they blame me because the song is so loud that late comers to the lengthy threads do not even take the time to read all the posts before jumping on the lynching bandwagon.

So don't allow them to do to you what they can't do to me. I ignore people not because I am afraid of them but because i would rather take the high road and not indulge in the childish nonsense. I try not to even post in their threads yet they continue to follow me in mine to start shyt. Of course others don't see that at all. Maybe we should go back and see when all this stuff started going south, it was when these complainers joined the Forum and started seeking attention. Before they came to this Forum, the heated debates were DJ related with the heated Topics being mainly Speaker Spread and placement. So many people demonized me for that until some starting experimenting and and came to realize what I was proposing was indeed a fact and not just something I invented to be labeled "my way".

Time will tell, this thread should have been closed twelve or more pages ago. Isn't it easier to put out a spark rather than a roaring flame? Fire department may not be doing their job. So Bob, don't worry about me. I appreciate the support. I think Mix may be the one who needs it. Every time he posts something he is ridiculed. Look at his last thread today http://ourdjtalk.com/threads/42038-Got-a-busy-schedule-coming-up from post # 3 to Post #11 (as of this writing) is nothing less than mockery. It makes me wonder if there is a common denominator there between the way he is treated and the way I am treated by the very same group of folks. Thats food for thought. I have tried to keep my thoughts clean and I always pray for my enemies but history has been once the praying stops bad things seem to happen to those folks. I am not threatening anyone, just a reminder in this world there are good and bad forces in the universe and they manifest themselves in ways we can lest imagine. Does anyone believe in Shango and Voodoo?
