Every queue within Rockit, has a pop up menu (right click) that looks like this:
So, there are many options to do this.
I like the popup menus you mention. Perhaps adding some keystrokes would be nice too? (CTRL+UP, DOWN, etc)

Ok, here goes my explanation -- again, please take nicely, as it is meant that way -- it is merely for the sake of debate and clarification
In the screenshot below, you will see Rockit running using a 4:3 skin, on a wide screen monitor. I've opened Deck A's queue, and moved it off to the right.
I loaded my Amazon Downloads playlist, into that queue (two clicks) -- fairly easy. You can use Deck B's queue or the AutoMix queue to do the same -- doesn't matter.
I have 28 tracks available in that queue, that I can drag and drop to either deck.
Does it matter what order they are in, since you are not using them for AutoMix, or next...? You can just drag and drop anywhere you want...
I'm totally befuddled here -- why does song 10, need to be at position 5, in order to drag to a deck and play it??? Heck, if you don't like the order they're in, click the header to sort them!

I want to pull it up and lay it right in nicely to the show I'm building. NOT add it to the automix que and do a bunch of hocus pocus right clicking or short cut keys that don't work entirely right.
You put the up/down short cut key in the mapper. Why not program it to at least hold the song while you're moving it? You move it once, it defaults to the first song. Then you have to go find your song, highlight it and shortcut it again.........so on, so on.
You mentioned that you don't know what you're playing next until about 20 seconds before the current song is over. I don't run like that and I would guess most of us don't. I'm usually a couple sets ahead of myself and then tweak as I go with requests or depending on how the crowd is reacting. You do your thing, I do mine. I just would like the tools to do it properly.

You can drag and drop any song into it (from the library) or out of it (into the players) at any time. The order they apear on the list is then irrelevant. If you walk away (don't tell Cesar), simply turn the automix feature on until you return.

That's exactly what I use it for, Hank. But, the order of the songs is relevant to me. It's my song set that I'm building. It would just be so handy to have the drag-n-drop to place songs where I want them within that list or the short cut keys to be improved to work.
Just forget it then.........I'll just hope one day that it will be available.

If you're talking about being able to click and hold a track to move it up or down on the list, then I agree 100%.

If you and I differed about web practices (and we do) and you posted a thread similar like that, I'd be pissed! You'd be pissed if I did the same thing to you.
2) Give Rick a break, in between his beer, and smokes, and caring for the farm, dealing with idiots on support requests, and writing code. He does great and works harder than most corporations developing software as a one man band! He is a great contributor and generally knows what's up.
3) Me being a programmer of Web (PHP) software and Visual Basic programmer (Don't flame me Rick) knows the difficulties of programming in Visual C++ it is not easy, especially when dealing with video and audio. Draggin and dropping is a different beast too especially on tree and list controls, you deal with keys, and index's, among meta data as I understand it from files being dragged and dropped, there is a lot of variables that go into it! Give the man a break and quit busting his chops.

Randy, I also agree that it would be great to have the feature of just grabbing and moving the song to where you want it in the Que. But there are options available that do take a second or 2 more.
