Well.....the party was absolute perfection...small crowd but fun... the Mother came up and hugged me and thanked me for taking her eye issues into consideration...apparently she gets horrible vertigo and has ended up in the hospital for it several times.. she said the lightshow and night was perfect. Made me feel great!

Don’t buy the “recent surgery” excuse. If your client (or guest) is sensitive to light, it has been my experience that they are...... a VAMPIRE. My recommendation is; GET YOURSELF A LARGE CROSS!!![emoji1] Try looking at the mother-in-law through the reflection of a mirror. I bet she won’t have a reflection. You might also want to pack a stake and a mallet in your gig bag... just in case.[emoji1]

I have two of these fixtures but haven't had much of an opportunity to work with them. Is "Diffusion" a setting they have on them or are you adding an actual diffusion gel/sheet in front of the fixture?

You totally can run them to their full extent, and in fact, once you see how good the diffuson looks, you will probably run it like that at more gigs.

Even if you run them with a slow fade, it's the harshness from the lenses on each led bank when you look at them, which is why dimming them helps. It's just not that great of a design so putting diffusion does wonders.

When I have a ceiling, I take off the diffusion and bounce them off a ceiling, but you have to have a wide whiteish ceiling for it to work at intended.

You have some good-looking footage. Curious, are you building any promo vids on your events (instead of just individual clips)?

Nah i just post them on social media...my business is 100 percent referrals... so i just keep my ex clients and associates updated with new and exciting footage. 2 bookings today from seeing this last weekends footage. Love it

hahahahah love it!!

the key is to really look new clients in the eye and assure them that you are on their side...and that you care about their event... and never lose contact...even if its been a year... drop them a personal note or text... let them know they werent just a paycheck... i dj'd at clubs for years....our clientele was made up of local colleges... i made real relationships with key leaders of greek organizations...fraternities and sororities... i did their college campuses... did afternoon events like volleyball tournaments ... talent shows... etc....had relationships with faculty from those... all those relationships... countless brides and grooms...and hosts of other parties... community leaders... business owners (i did holiday parties for many of the larger companies in this area) all combined are a throng of loyal people who drop my name and allow me new opportunities to make new client relationships...

i consider this brand of networking as my super power... i took almost 10 years off...and have only been back in business 18 months or so... and so many of those people are STILL quietly working for me... and have reached out to say how happy they are im back performing...

i fully recommend this...though it at times is hard work... it can add so much to your marketing arsenal

Yes, bought at a photo store. They come in several different strengths. I went pretty heavy.
