Cool. Looks like they manufacture from zip cord.... Always wondered why others didn't do it too.

Guess I'm cheap though - I pick up clearance dark green extension cords 14/3, 12/3 and even some 10/3 every year after Christmas

Where have you been for the past 7 years Papa?

Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and probably 100 other stores sell these cables I have 5 of them right now!

Not black.

I will 2nd Papa's find.

Black cables (except for raw cable) is not something you find in every Slowes/Home Cheepo...

I like the idea of the white cords - if you are using white par cans, bases. Something to consider.

Case in point - try finding BLACK 3-way, grounded cube adapters. You won't find 'em at these stores.

Not to derail, it is now harder to find 25' Mox (multi-outlet) cords. 50' is the shortest that are made. And I'm not talking zip cord, these are true 12/3 with illuminated outlets.

I've checked this with Kat/NLFX - 25's are no longer made.

Merry Christmas,

Joe

I like the light ups because they let you know you have power as soon as they are pluged in. And I agree that not all of them are black (3 of mine are 2 are three way 25 footers and one is a single 12 footer Then I also have two 10 gauge 50 footers in high vis yellow.

But what is the custom text and what is the point of it?

I think the point of the text is just to show ownership...no chance that someone will swipe your cord if your name is on it...or for me I wouldn't be confused if I'm at a facility and they have their own cords laying around.

Makes sense!

I use Velcro ties on mine (sewed on) so I could pretty easily ID mine anyway, but i like the idea of having the company name on them as well!

According to the site, your text would be repeated every 3 inches on the entire length of the cord. There would be no mistaking that the cord is yours.

in the stage and light company I work for
we opted for stickers on our gear
so the bands we produce don't steal them.
I like the name on these
just afraid it's wear off after a few uses
(and we use 'em pretty hard)

I have a yellow lighted three way but it sits under my rack out of sight. Its not going to be confused with anybody else's.

Has anyone purchased from these guys? Everytime I try to check out it shows as an insecure site

I did not since I have lots of black cords... but on a different DJ board, many have said that they have.

We make our own 10 gage extension cords, with ends that light up green if your power is clean and has no problems and red if theres a ground loop or an issue with the power. Then on the other end i put on a 4 outlet heavy duty-water resistant box. you can buy 250 foot reels of the actual 10 gage wire at Home Depot and you'll have better cables than you'll be able buy anywhere
