On your site, you say that your music library consist of 130k songs. Wow ! thats quite impressive. How did you aquire such a large music collection as such a young age?
 
Thanks for pointing that out Audio. I have been in the biz for 30 yrs I guess Im a slacker or a cheapskate.

Ohhhhi found it. ill fix that i didnt write the content for the site, a friend of mine was kind enought to do it for me as words have never been my thing. i will fix tthat. but its about 7000 - 9000 songs. annd i amassed that by buying a 30 cd collection of house music with 50 songs per disc and i am a member of idjpool and i download around 25 songs a week as many of the songs they relesae per week are repeats of the week before.

first impressions arent that important I suppose!:triwink: Would your lights to be hung with wires hanging all around versus neatly presented? Perhaps you wouldnt worry about that either.

Cut the guy some slack Jon. Just as how some say their clients don't care if the speakers are two feet apart and there is comb filtering galore.....you think they would care if wires are showing? Turn down the lights and nobody pays attention to these things only other DJs. I would rather have my wires showing any day vs being squeezed up in a corner wearing my speakers like headphones.

The man has his wishful dreams, true! Even I called him out on it! However, he has higher aspirations than two powered speakers on a stick with a Laptop claiming "small footprint". Just saying.

FYI i bundle my wires with velcro straps and then put them inside of a piece of flexible plastic pipe with a slit down the side so it all goes down in one shot. Ill say again... i know what im doing. im NOT an idiot. and personally even if my website looks like crap with typos everywhere and stuff, as long as i do my job well and keep my clients happy... it doesnt really matter. Im a professional just like the rest of you so i think it would be best if we quit this bs on this thread especially since this thread WAS originally about speakers and not my practices of whatever the hell you decide to nit pick. And the moderators apparently have no interest in keeping threads on topic so i will ask that this thread be let die..
 
Griff I said it in jest and also to compare it to the importance a website has in successful business. If its the first thing they see when someone new comes upon your business or if you have it listed on a business card or any ad media they will go to the site and see the clutter sort of like when you put a house up for sale and dont clean the entry way or cut the grass. First impressions. Your doing something cool with the speakers you are looking at I commend you on that. I present a unique system which stands out to clients and thats a great tool. I am just saying that presenting a website with numerous errors can cut your potential to deliver your unique show. If you hand out a handwritten business card colored with crayon and deliver your show folks might not move forward to enjoy your amazing show. Another example you have a car for sale and you leave oil in it that has ran 10,000 kilometres and is black as a beetle and you drove it through mud and didnt wash it how successful would you be in selling it?
 
Coming on here and asking about a line array system for school functions is just plain silly. If you need to fill an arena, you contract out a company that knows what the hell their doing.

If your gonna hang with the big dogs on ODJT, expect a little hazing from the longtimers. Especially when you ask ridiculous questions like you did. Consider it part of the price of admission.
 
Paul Richkus joined in June 2010 but has been in the biz alot of yrs I believe thats the long time which he was referring. Number of posts or join date here has nothing to do with that. Quality of posts might. His point is accurate. I have a box of tissue if needed.
