Actually, when you see it demo'd in person, you'll be quite disappointed.

I saw it at the American DJ Road Show in Passaic NJ last spring, and again at The Atlantic City NJ DJ Times Expo.

It looks like it has a lot of potential. It seems that they can make the graphics look less atari like, though. Kind of mid 80's graphics. Next generation might be better.

Might be good for Retro Parties, Hugh.....

I like the way you think!! I might call you in a bit. We (that's me this time!) need to get moving!

Jeez, you got my hint and I didn't even have to add ( :sqwink: )..... :sqlaugh:

It looks like a great toy for kid dance parties. The only person to see one is Steve, and it didn't like it.

The fixture does not produce a very bright effect. You can program anything you want into it--yes. But the display graphics are indeed crude and very retro looking. The venue really needs to be very dark, and you r message very short so that the viewer can decipher what it is.

When I first heard of it, I couldn't wait to see it. I brought cash with me to the ADJ Road Show event with every intention of purchasing one. Like I said, I was disappointed with it. I spent my cash on two Mega Pixel LED Light Bars instead.

My perception was that the Messenger was not as bright as the Revo 3, yet they each use pretty much the same fixture cabinet, and sell for just about the same price.

Brian and I saw them at an ADJA meeting in Charlotte when a vendor rep came it was very dissappointing and very cheesy.. no offense if anyone still does this but it reminds me of the djs who used to take out those LED Signs you can program and buy at Sams club for like $99 The dots making the letters were'nt close enough together to fill easily so i think even if you got it your guests would have a hard time seeing the names. It reminded me of that old 80's record "im the operator with the pocket calculator"
