Epix is coming...take a look. Very cool for installation or even mobile use! You are gonna love this!

finally something that would look uber cool on a Facade unlike those balls of shiz with a par behind the plastic look. Cool. Im guessing a pretty penny.

Where's the drool bucket?

Thats been here for years now. Go and do a search for 3D Mapping. I have posted before several times. Not by Chauvet though.
Here is one of the latest links: The software is basically the same except in this case the projectors aree Commercial/Huge: http://ourdjtalk.com/threads/41108-3-D-Mapping?highlight=3D+mapping

I don't follow what you have posted, here at all, it is nothing like the product we are introducing. I am very familiar with 3D mapping and projection...completely different thing than Epix.

How many fixtures will plug into the controller? Are they daisy chainable? Does the software come with each fixture controller? Is this pretty much the same as the flexible curtains? Prices available yet? Please give me a ball park on a display with controller to cover 10' X 8'. I was just placing an order for a 9 x 15 curtain with 10cm pitch LEDs, but I'll hold off for a few days.

Yeah, I thought so. While VERY nice, I don't see many of "us" here can afford this system (the way it was set up in the video would run over 15 grand).

16 Epix Strip can run off one Power supply / Brain (EPIX Drive 640). Driver takes input from Arkaos Media Master Express (RJ45 in and out to other drivers, as needed)

Epix Bars do not need the driver, as they are built in...daisy chain the RJ45 Arkaos Media Master Express input, and daisy chain as needed.

This is a very affordable alternative to High res video walls.

This is not CHEAP video, but affordable alternative to the HIGH END video panels. (scrolling text on the Epix Bars for instant messages to your audience....as an example.)

yeah Jamey but not in the closest 10 grand for most DJs however some of us love to spend on unique additions to our show to keep the image of different valid. Your title fooled most of them though.

I understand where you are all coming from with expense...but 1 or 2 Epix Bars would be very cool, (and affordable for most professionals), and give you the ability to scroll test, and create some cool ambient video content, if thats your goal.

I don't see that as hard to sell. One just have to raise their prices a bit to be able to recoup their investment. Granted, it may not be suitable for every application.

Seems using a 55" Flat-Panel as a facade would be a more flexible solution and probably a whole lot less expensive.

Yeah but why only worry about the drunks? This weekend, I had a 3 year old 'stomp' on the Slimpar 64, on purpose! I stopped him before he could do it a second time. He had just raised his foot again when I stepped over and said "NO!" which got his attention. Then I proceeded to tell him not to in a nice way.
