Hi guys.

I'd be interested on hearing feedback on my website. Being UK based the terminology may differ slightly from those stateside websites. The use of the word "disco" springs to mind. In the states I believe you use the phrase mobile dj, wheras in the UK were referred to as 'mobile discos' (a phrase I hate).

Anyway's, I'm digressing here. This is the first site I've designed, I took care of the artwork and passed on the job of putting everything together to another company. The main design is centralised around a minimal central area so there isn't a lot of scrolling. Neat, compact and professional was the kind of feel I wanted

I'd love to hear your opinions and constructive critisism. Link below. Thanks in advance for taking the time to look.

Very nice site, probably one of best laid out and easy to read DJ sites I've seen in a long while.

I especially like the dancing shadow girl. :)

Edit: The text scroll on your testimonals page doesn't render properly in Firefox. If I scroll the whole page the scroll box moves too making it hard to read. Here are screen shots:

Very nice Scotch. Its simple but still classy. Really easy to navigate

Very sharp! I like it. Clean, concise and very "web 2.0".
LOVE the dancing shadow...very hypnotic. However, perhaps you should consider using the shadow of a dancing bride & groom on the weddings page.

And also, I must thank you. I've been considering adding a similar slide show effect to my site. I hope you don't mind, I followed the link in your source code for the script you used, it's a very useful site with very easily used scripts. So again thanks...and an excellent job on your design.

Scotch looks good

Dan I dont have that issue (you may want to update flash its up to v9 so far)

Thanks Dennis, I'm running the latest and greatest Flash. It could of been my flash blocker interfering but it's never caused problems before.

I don't think flash is the problem. The only flash used in the site is the shadow dancer. This rolls back to a static image if the user doesn't have a flash player installed, or if there's a problem with their flash player.

I have the latest flash player, and I get the same problem Dan does if I'm viewing in a small window using the outer scroll . The testimonials scroll fine if the inner scroll bar is used...it's the outer one that has a few bugs. I'll contact my web guy about it.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Very much appreciated.

Hi Dennis,

the Venues php was written specifically for my site, so I can easily add new venues at anytime. It has dual functionality... 1: To provide clients with information, 2: To help with SEO. Much better than plastering a whole lot of keywords at the foot of the site. My web guy's done a great job with it.

I'm pretty sure the venues php could be written to be easily transferable to any site. Not too sure what would be involved to let site visitors add to it?. If you'd like me to contact my web guy to ask his advice and get a price, just drop me a PM.

Just checked out the Venues page that was commented on...very nice idea. However what is up with this place...
"Comments: We wouldn't recommend this venue for special occasions due to the Sound Limiter device connected in the hall. Music cannot be played at more than 'background music levels'. Anything higher will kill the power to the stage. Not recommended for Parties."
Are they serious?

I no longer play that particular venue because of the overly sensitive limiter. It's truly a nightmare.

Fixed now.

Thanks again for pointing that out, Dan.
