What you're talking about is a time when artists for many of them they had real talent. Back then you didn't have the issue of seeing if a song was the clear version or not.Never thought i would say this but back in the 60s and 70s they did music you can understand, like, and listen to plus not say what the hell did he say, just my opinion
Back in the day DJS had talent! What you're talking about is a time when artists for many of them they had real talent. Back then you didn't have the issue of seeing if a song was the clear version or not.

If that's the case, why aren't you doing ANY weddings and more higher paid and elegant events at more luscious venue's?Do you have talent? I know I do and worked very hard to be talented.

Sorry to be so blunt Mixx....
I think there was plenty of terrible music in the 60’s and 70’s too, just like most eras. We don’t remember them because no one plays them…..because its bad music. I love lot of music from this era, but man, a good bit of bad music trying to take advantage of the disco craze is one example. I think there is some good music from the disco era, but some reaaaaallly bad ones too. Rap is the same way, in my opinionNever thought i would say this but back in the 60s and 70s they did music you can understand, like, and listen to plus not say what the hell did he say, just my opinion
Some of us could use a cough mute button todayAnd auto tune ain't helping matters (or so called "artists") either....
Great point. But you could have went out and BOUGHT the 45's or albums. One thing to remember is that when radio was king most peoples music was filtered by the stations to a point
The Phone almost put an end to a good game of music trivia. Played music trivia at my casino event parties for extra chips.Today? All you need is a phone...

You must admit as a DJ we make people dance, today's music you can't dance to it hell you can't understand what they are saying. Todays hip hop sucks and country for the last couple of years is more of the slower beat. I don't know about you but I like to see a full dance floor of people and that usually happens from older music.... says every successive generation ever since recorded music has existed
I disagree with hip hop music of today not being music to dance to. It depends on the age group. People in their early 20's will dance to it and lose their minds. An older crowd in their 40's on up not so much for a lot of them. Some at that age group will go nuts for the hip hop of today because that's what they listened to and still do.You must admit as a DJ we make people dance, today's music you can't dance to it hell you can't understand what they are saying.
