We're not mind readers - you need to give a little more info than that. Are the speakers Active/Passive? Brand/Model Number? Used with subs? One or both speakers do it? Does it start playing again all by itself right away, you have to wait, or do you have to lower the volume? Etc., etc., etc., etc.

Generally, if you push a speaker and it cuts out, it's either overheating, has a noise gate that is cutting in because of being overdriven with too much signal for it to handle, or their is some mechanical issue in the voice coil. This doesn't usually happen with quality gear, but I've seen it in low end speakers, so knowing which speakers will help (and the amps if they are passive).
Not too familiar with them, but there are reviews saying these clip a lot. My guess is the input stage (the mixer section on the back) is overdriving the amplifier section with a "hot"signal , so you probably need to run these at a lower level than you probably want to keep them from cutting out (protection circuits inside).
What are driving the speakers with .. a mixer, a controller, direct from a laptop ????

By chance is the "line/mic" switch set to "mic" position? Venturing a guess, and with very little to go on, it's pretty obvious that you're probably (severely) overdriving the input on the speaker. It'll be a ton worse if you're running that input in the "mic" position. Hope this helps.
The mic-line switch could account for that but, you would also be experiencing extremely high gain at low volume settings along with distortion.
Check the specifications in your owner's manuals:
Check these levels and your gain structure for every device you insert in the audio chain. If you have inserted an equalizer or other processor your output gain should be adjusted so that pressing the bypass button produces no apparent volume change, simply the loss of whatever effect you had applied.

- What is the nominal output level of the mixer outputs you are using?
- What is the nominal input level of the speakers at the "line" setting?

While I agree with your take on Harbinger it still should be not cutting out and over-driving at low levels.

I think both a gain structure issue .. and pushing a $250 speaker beyond what it was designed for.
I have a Harbinger 2212 the 12” Version. Although I’d never use it as a main speaker it was not the piece of crap I thought it would for what I paid for it. If you are a young DJ likely they are just pushing these things harder than they are Meant to play. If I remember it correctly they are about 10db less at max than my 12” JBLs, even though powerwise Harbinger claims the same wattage as the my JBLs .

Don't blame Harbinger - blame the Salesperson at GC who sold 15" two-way tops to an inexperienced person, who's playing this kind of music - and LOUD - when they should have been sold small tops (yes, even Harbinger's) with a sub!!
Why does the DJ industry continue to ream newbie DJ's with these things? Is it some kind of mandatory Right-Of-Passage? "Young Grasshopper, thou-est must get screwed with your first speaker purchase WHICH MUST BE 15" two-way tops" - "plus you'll loose your shirt on them when you sell them on Craigslist".
