Got the lights today and I'm pissed.

I'm not aware of any laws allowing "reserved" hadicap parking .. if you have the placard, you can park in a handicap spot .. it's the law ( https://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/dds/home/Guide to Accessible Parking-Web.pdf )

This is getting weirder ...

so it was a reserved private parking lot with permit only parking.......*someone* thought they could park in a poorly labeled spot in the *private.permit.only.lot* and just get away with it because it was a handicap spot.

I watch parking Wars from time to times. I always seems those who can least afford it get the most tickets. NYC is the worst. I pay for parking and when there on business I have a person working who's sole responsibility is staying with the van. It works out perfectly especially in December when we had multiple jobs and multiple locations on the same day. One kick in my butt long ago was enough.

The thing is when someone has numbers on the handicap signs that is reserved for specific person that is handicapped. So you're not allowed to park there. The thing is there were 3 signs and one didn't have numbers on it.

I got the van out on Monday and it cost me $258. They have a racket with this. They know you will pay the money because you're not going to let them keep your vehicle.

If no ticket it sounds like you got towed out of the private lot not on a public or city lot. Then you're essentially screwed . It was a lot less than having the city tow you.
I was parked on the street and not a parking lot.

When we do gigs in downtown Cleveland, we charge more for venues where parking is not provided. Not only for the extra expense, but the extra time it may take to find a spot.

Most of our gigs are in the suburbs and parking is never an issue.

I have never heard of a parking spot on a street specifically for one person. I've also never heard of a car being towed from a public street with no ticket.

What the heck is going on out there in Jersey?

It was displayed. The issue is that it was a personal handicap parking space and not a random spot.
Then that is all your Badd. You should have paid better attention or asked someone about the spot. I bet something very obvious was there to distinguish that spot from a normal handicap spot. Take a pic of the signs so we can see what was going on out there.

He means if after costs - you made $200, then you still had to pay $58 out of your own pocket - which means you made nothing.
Regardless what the pay was I still had to shell out $258 so far. That's an UGH not to mention something is hanging underneath the van. I'm at the mechanic shop now seeing how it can get fixed. So I'm not having a good week.

Hopefully I will get some good news tomorrow when I go see the doctor. Hopefully I will get a date to get the surgery done soon. I certainly need some good news.

Regardless of what the pay was? Considering you most likely would not have been there without the event, then the pay is linked directly to it. If you made $200, then that's $200 you did not have before. Considering you spent $258, then it's $58 out of your own pocket.
