Got the lights today and I'm pissed.

No break down on the way to the event. Parked in a handicap spot that I thought was OK but wasn't. The 2 signs had numbers on them and the third didn't. So I thought it was OK to park in the third sign. Find out they are all together. Find out the cost tomorrow. Also might be getting a ticket as well. Got to wait and see.

So, you got pissed that the UPS driver didn't ring the doorbell because your $60 lights could have possibly been stolen, but weren't, and the $500 parking snafu Is an afterthought?

Thankfully, I've never made that mistake. Handicap parking spots seem very clearly marked around here. I would think that if there was any ambiguity regarding the spot, people who got ticketed and towed would be raising a ruckus with the local government. I would have pictures of the spot and the sign and be calling someone

I'm handicapped myself and I have a placard in my van. The lights were the first thing to happen, then the van got towed.

Thankfully the lights didn't get stolen but nowadays you never know what might happen. Even in the nicest of neighborhoods.

You have a handicap sign, but got towed anyway .. I am soooo confused ...

Tough place, that New Jersey!... If you park in a Handicap space here, even if you have NO placard (or sticker or handicap license plate) the chances of being towed are probably ZERO. The chances of getting a ticket are pretty low too. There’s empty handicap spaces everywhere you go, so probably not a priority to police those spaces. I never park in them, but I see plenty who do. Not saying it’s right; it just happens.

First the handicap signs were all together. Just one of them didn't have numbers on it letting you know this is someone's personal handicap parking space. To me all 3 signs should have numbers on them.

The people that attended the event were nice enough to get the gear to where it needed to go and me home. Waiting on a ride now to get things taken care of. Got to go downtown first to show my insurance paper and license. Then they will tell me where it was towed.

You lead a... an “interesting” life, my friend. Think I’m gonna lay down and take a nap now.[emoji1]

I got towed once in New York City for parking too close to a fire hydrant. Of course when I came out my wife's minivan was gone and two cars were parked in its place. Like someone mentioned I got hit with a ticket, towing fee, supplemental fee and had to take the taxi to the location to pick up the vehicle. The total was around $400. I was just happy that the vehicle wasnt stolen because it was my wife's minivan. It was the lighting only event and I didn't want to bring my large van into NYC. Hopefully you charged your client enough so you don't come out of this whole thing at a lost.

It'll be the combined income of several of these to cover the outlay of this one. That's the New(ark) Math ...

I'm inclined to believe most signs when I read them the first time.
Sounds like the lights are going to be a bargain by comparison.
