Look.
You can spin it if ya want, and turn it into something it's not...but I started this thread for ONE reason.
After NOT being totally content with my speaker placement in this room in the past...
I just wanted to see if anyone else had a better idea.
Check the OP and you'll see that I asked "where would YOU place the speakers".
You call it a "rubber stamp" Canute...but it's only a confirmation that I "was" doing it the best way possible.
If all I wanted was an "atta boy" I woulda just waited and posted a gig log.
And you guys wonder why no one wants to post things anymore...
I'm still not sure what "sneaky thing" you think I was trying to accomplish.

I don't recall that one. I was big into hifi in my middle-school and high school years and used to read everything I could. I remember thinking that quad wasn't going to go anywhere if there were 2 different matrix formats as well as a bunch of discreet ones. And it didn't until Home Theater resurrected it.
I had a quad 8-track player in my 1970 Ford maverick -- used it on my around the country escape from reality with my underage gal pal. But I only had two quad tapes -- Simon and Garfunkle, an I forget what the other was (must not have been that good).

Wow...I never thought of that, but you're right! I listen to Blu Ray at home in quad...actually 5:1 and 7:1.
My wife had that same Maverick when I first met her. It was a POS then, but I sure wish I had it now.
Got a ride to HS with a guy who had an 8-tracker player, and only FOUR albums.
I listened to The Cars, Van Halen 1, Van Halen 2, and AC/DC every day for a year.
