OK I hear you all. Now I have simple question to all. If you were looking for a DJ to do a bowling party, how much would spend for a DJ to do such an event? Trust me I'm not asking this question to make a joke.
Depends -- if I wanted a particular DJ, I would pay his/her price. It's sorta the same as what I said in the other thread, about the fact that I charge $250 per hour (3 hr min). That applies to basically anything I do -- I couldn't care less if it's a bowling alley, or a banquet hall. I also don't travel far -- about 20-25 miles is my limit, so all costs are built into the hourly charge.
Other people may do it differently, but that's how I work.
BTW, don't call me for any gigs right now -- my rack setup is in storage 1500 miles south of here, all I have is speakers here, and they're holding up a table...
