No Pics, but the lady at the restaurant said the DJ hooks into them...

They are rectangular...... they hang horizontally if you want the logo to face the right way.... about 20" wide.

And the logo is just a "K".... and the K is sort of two tone with black and silver, as best I could tell.... the room was pretty dark.

Papa, Did the logo look like this?

Yeah, I guess it did.... it was hard to see, but I think that is correct.... I never heard of them.

those speakers have been around. That was a Live.Sound brand at one time.

All I know is that they sounded muddy as could be.
Papa, when sound is bad it can be attributed to any of the components in the chain including the Speakers. The source MP3, CD or incoming signal, the player, processing or lack of, amps, speakers, method of hookup.

Kustom is a budget brand. If I'm not mistaken they're used by bands as practice rigs.

Yep, they've been around for many years. I remember the blue and red pleated vinyl cabinet wraps from back in the '60s. :D

Sounds like the speakers were the culprit in this case. The shame of it is that they were installed in a brand new facility.

Did you see the rest of the equipment? Miswiring the speakers could also cause bad sound.

Canute, you seem to think others know NOTHING.

I was an engineer for FOX TV for 19 years..... I get it...... cheap speakers sound like cheap speakers.... sometimes you can get a little more from stuff if you have a clue, but you can't make crap smell like roses.

.
Why do you say that? I never accused you of "knowing nothing". You gave a comment on a speaker without full information. It is hard for me to agree without the whole picture. I can make a good speaker sound like crap with the wrong processing, settings or hookup and vice versa. I was only asking if you saw what else was in the chain.;)

Kustom in my experience are speakers that you NEVER want to plug into. I have never heard one that didn't sound horrible.
The older ones weren't bad in their time and their "Profile" line is a decent basic all-in-one PA system, but they have moved on from the PA world, and have been refocusing on guitar/bass setups.
