I'm updating my weddingwire page tomorrow and need a good wedding dance pic for my main picture. I don't take pictures at my events very often so I can't find one that I like personally. Does anyone on here have a sweet picture that you wouldn't mind me using as my thumbnail pic? I'm trying to find one that involves the bride, dancing, not much gear in background but definetly a packed dancefloor. If not, I understand. Thanks.

You can check with some photographers that have been at some of your past events and see what they have. That way you can say it is one of your clients.
I've done that too...just trying to come up with the right picture and still haven't found one. Too picky probably.
Just grab anything and start messing with it, push it out of focus and mess with the lighting effects in whatever software you have. It doesn't have to be a crisp picture to relay an emotion, in fact less detail may be better.

Just search for free usage photos. Then when you find a site, search wedding or wedding dance. That is what I did for a photo for my new site. I then used photo editing to tweak it like Scott said and it turned out great.
Google your brides. Many post pics online as do their guests. When you find one, ask if you can use it. Other than that, go to a stock photo site and purchase one.

Hank, great google idea. I was able to find a few that way that are decent. I'm just looking for that perfect photo that evidently doesn't exist. Gonna bring my camera to more weddings this season and see what I can accomplish. Thanks everyone.

Check online there is a website that has many pictures that are royalty free. My wife has the name of the website let me see if I can remember the address for it.
That's the problem, we are all DJ's not photogs and the pictures we do get don't look professional enough or aren't quite the right look. I was able to reach out to a couple past brides and got some decent shots that we're using.

Imagine that....Dennis has ALL the answers - lol. Getting the right shot, photog or not is that hard, when it has to be perfect.

I will look, but most of my events are less than 50 people so a "packed" dancefloor is a rarity in my world.
