I knew about the VRX's, but don't think they are part of the Vertec series.

It's irrelevant though, the VRX's will perform with a couple cabinets fine for the intended audience I'm sure. Though I have never heard one per side, I have heard them 2 per side and they do sound good.

Received The Amp This Morning!

I am going to put my new Amp through its paces tonight. I received it this morning, pretty quick delivery for free shipping I may add, 3 business days.:triwink:

I am at the Club now and man oh man! The new Amp has put new life into those scoops. I am satisfied and happy. Now I can't wait to finish the Tweeter Boxes to add them to my Midrange Horns.

i got one,it kicks ass.

subs, but it can also handle main and subs in parallel.

Hey Houstondj,

I've posted this pic before but heres one of my setups.

The Crowns are bridged mono and the JBL mpros give me one hell of a thump.

Did the Software (To Change Settings) Come With Your Amp in the Box? I had to request one. They are sending it today.
I also did not realize that it has an included Sub Harmonic Synth. Oh Boy, I can't wait! Used sparingly, It will make those scoops sound even more like they are each 18".
Is this the Software in question? I just downloaded it but have not yet installed it. http://hiqnet.harmanpro.com/bm_download.php

Gee I probably could have popped over to the Crown plant just up the street from me..... :triwink:

I sold 2 of these earlier this year. They performed well for me, but I wanted to step up to an even more serious amp! You should be pleased with the results nonetheless, as it is a pretty solid amplifier!

I use System Architect all the time. You should try and get the suggested settings for the speakers from the manufacturer, and go from there. As far as the sub synth, I would try and avoid that, as more harm than good can come - even if used sparingly.

I have been using one since just before 1978 when it was called a Boom Box. It never damaged any of my speakers.

I have a friend that works there who can get me 75% discount on anything from Crown. All I have to do is give her the money.:tricool:
