I have to say that there are 2 that come to mind for me right away.... I love Korn's version of Word Up. I also prefer Rob Zombie / Lionel Richie's version of Brick House... ( called Brick House 2003 ).

And maybe not more than the original version, but I love Fred Durst's version of Wish You Were Here.

Not sure if I like it BETTER, but the Marilyn Manson version of Sweet Dreams (are made of this) is very interesting

I like Roy Orbison. But i prefer Van Halen's Intruder/Pretty Woman more..

That one gets turned up to 11!:sqlaugh:

Color me a sap but I've been enjoying Mariah Carey's I Want To Know What Love Is. Not sure if like it more than the original though.

If you weren't the site owner I'd slap ya with negative rep.... :sqeek::sqerr::sqerr::sqlaugh:

a few...

Wont Get Fooled Again - Van Halen
Mama Don't Dance - Poison
Turn The Page - Metallica
At Last - Beyonce
Smokin in the Boys Room - Motley Crue
Proud Mary - Tina Turner

Proud Mary - Tina Turner

Nice work!

"For The Good Times" as sung by Al Green. Originally written by Kris Kristofferson and sung by both Ray Price and Elvis Presley!

Got 2:

Bonnie Raitt's cover of Del Shannon's "Runaway" and Bette Midler's cover of The Gentry's " Do You Wanna Dance" took some 60's throwaways and made them HOT! Seriously sexy....

Just to balance out though:

The Fugees took a beautiful song ( Killing Me Softly ) and destoyed it, and Pearl Jam's version of J. Wilson & The Cavaliers "Last Kiss" was a lame, emotionless rendition of what was a powerful song.

Quietdrive's version of Time After Time

Oh that's terrible! :sqerr:

Now my question is, are you thinking that the ORIGINAL was the Cyndi Lauper version? Because really it wasn't. It was written by members of The Hooters, who were singing it before Cyndi Lauper made it into a big hit. The Hooters version was pretty big in Philly before she sang it.
