Doing a school reunion in a Hilton Hotel. The banquet room has about a 14' or higher ceiling. The ceiling has a track space in the middle whereby they could
close up with wall tracking one side and make it smaller. The dance floor is
right under the ceiling track. Trying to figure out how to hang a mirrow ball and sport lights? I've heard of ceiling track hangers but have never seen them or
know where to buy them. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Normally, I hang my mirrow ball odd T-TRI-POD but it only shows to about 1/2 of the room.

Thanks

aloha Mike....

I would check and see if there is a lighting production company in your area. They do in fact have these little adapters that slide into these hotel slots.

Running the power is the hardest part, and getting engineering to bring you a tall ladder might be a pain.

The effect would be neat, but to be honest, not worth all the trouble.

Your ball should cover the whole room if you are using good spots and have it high enough on the T-Bar....

especially if you live in a big enuff city
and the hotel maintenance is union!

It is a T bar with an eye hook I made my own! 4 inch piece of 1/2" square stock weld a 4 1/2" piece from the center and and turn an eye on the end that will leave 2 1/2" of shaft (for the drop from the rails down to the open ceiling)! Or just weld a 3/8" eye bolt to the bar stock. Turn the last 1/2" of the t-bar down so they will drop off the sides of the track once in place that will safely keep it from turning out.

Then you take your contraption stick it up through the track slot turn it 90% and you are ready to go! Also you can run you power cords in the track as well buy a box of pick up sticks or a pack of kabob sticks, as you run your wire in the slot you put a stick every two feet or so to keep the wire up in the slot. A 7' step ladder is all you need to reach a 14 foot ceiling, I carry one with me when I do any venue where I am going to be using lights!!
