B-Sharp - Thanks for the encouragement! (And after many years in this business, I'm sure you're right...) I'm still waiting to hear that "summer floor-filling song" for 2009. I'll just keep listening!
How many of you are getting requests for "Paper Airplanes" by M.I.A. at your mobile gigs?
Seems like a lot of folks have seen the movie "Slum Dog Millionaire" in our area, because I've had two requests in the past three weeks, for this semi-new song.
Its really not a danceable song, IMO-- but the crowds who ASK FOR IT -- seem to love it!
Isn't ironic the youth of today considers a rap song old if a week has passed?
What about the artist from the 70's the rapper ripped off? lol
See now thats what I have said all along
no matter what the song is, as soon as it comes out they say its OLD already!!
They are the same ones that can't help but dance to Ice Ice Baby.
Same could be said about a baby. From the moment it's born, it's dying. Thank goodness for the time between birth and death it needs to become a classic, just like you Denny-pooh.no matter what the song is, as soon as it comes out they say its OLD already!!
