I'm not real sure what that was suppose to mean....
Then I will attempt to clarify"
...spoken like a true Bride's Choice recipient...lol
LOL means "laughing out loud" as to signify it was a joke.
...I guess if you leech/steal music, probably the software as well, operate without paying taxes, without proper/any insurance, and without any need to profit as a legitimate business...it is a sweet deal, in the year 1981.
The only way to justify performing for the offered rate is if you have no expenses, like a legitimate music library, income and/or business taxes, insurance expense, all which indicating either an illegitimate operation and/or an individual with no capacity to understand what things cost.
You would be hard presses to RENT a laptop for $75 a day, let alone one with a legal music library and legal software to play it..and we haven't even begun to consider any human compensation.
In 2009, the offer is most likely acceptable, only, to an unprofessional, music leeching, bottom feeding, hack.
Is that clear enough.
...Participate in that insulting relationship and I wish you nothing but aggravation and misery.
Take the job and I hope you suffer the misery and aggravation that results from desperation, greed, and laziness. Gigs that begin from a position of disrespect, rarely get better.
Clear?
NOT KIDDING
In these economic times a week day gig like this where all ya have to do is lug in a laptop and hook up... seems like gold to me...
Aim low hit low. Sad, pitiful, horrible, really.
...considering gigs where you have to lug all your equipment for say a karaoke gig is not much higher up the pay scale around my part of the woods. Best pay around here for that would be $175.00 and you have to bring your own.
Do you see a possible causal relationship between accepting insulting pay and the markets valuation of your trade/skill, assuming you have some?
