He has all that money, fame, and success, yet he still cannot play the role and show some class. He's a superstar, but can't get away from that violence that was so common back in the hood. Too bad.

Domestic violence is big issue. I came from an alcoholic childhood, not dv.

You were drunk when ya were a kid Tim...?

No wonder ya live in Albany... :sqlaugh:

Go see Cap -- he'll get ya on the straight and narrow... :D

I actually grew up with an alcoholic father. My mom died when I was 8 months old from ovarian cancer, leading my dad to believe it was his fault. Although I have a loving family and we are very close, my dad was out working 2 jobs to support us 5 with me being the youngest. My dad passed away of alcoholism at the age of 66 on April 2, 1999.

Please use better judgement next time. Thanks.

You see, the problem is that Chris and Rihanna were involved. Chris, more so than Rihanna. So here's this guy Chris Brown, merely trying to perform a customary mating ritual with Rihanna.

The problem is that in California, they call it SEXUAL BATTERY & RAPE!

Wrigley's just suspended all Chris Brown ads for Double Mint Gum

As a show of solidarity with Wrigleys'--- DJ-MC is suspending all plays of Chris Brown tunes until further notice........

The sad part is this will only lead to this tool becoming more famous :sqconfused:

From what I understand these two, Chris and Rihanna had a rocky relationship. They are both very jealous people. All she had to do was headbut him with that dome of hers and knock his ass out.

Seriously though he may have put a serious whipping on her because she has not been seen in public since Saturday. This is horrible. I know some women can push us to the edge but a man should know his limits and find a wall to punch instead. It's just not worth the police record, fines and expenses of a lawyer.

Some of you guys just reminded me of one of the humorous comments my Grand Father used to say out of ignorance. "Those Damned Hippies must have did it." It was so easy for him to pin all bad on a personal hate. But what is even funnier as Americans you have liberties and are provided laws to protect innocence and the common American despises these laws until its a personal need. Innocent until proven guilty is in place to protect fairness. Just because one citizen reports another doesnt mean that individual even did anything but of course because Chris Brown is black (not even a rapper) Hes automatically a thug and a female beater. You guys need to get some new material.

Will be playing his music??

Doesn't play into it for me -- I never heard of him before, so never played his stuff. Probably never will, but has nothing to do with the current media hype.

BTW Tim -- I see you are sensitive, and didn't appreciate my attempt at humor.

I'm not going to apologize (did that already in the apology thread) :)

One thing I would offer up though...

If one is going to carry a ball and chain around from the old days, they should choose the correct ball to carry. I have many balls, both good and bad -- I just only choose to carry the good ones -- they seem to be lighter... ;) :)

Thursday I have a teen dance I think I will make a mash up of both Rihanna and Chris Brown and maybe mix out with some womanizer. Tim do you play Michael Jackson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joel oh wait he was convicted more than once. We could continue the names of artists who have been accused of illegal actions and alot more convicted of offenses. Have you ever received more than a traffic ticket? Not here to badger you, just trying to determine a line of acceptable options.

I see it as the following. I don't care if you're a redneck, businessman, CEO, VIP, top executive, blah, blah, blah if you have a pair you are not allowed to touch a woman, period. Yes, some of them can be a handful but I still feel the same.

Being 19-20 years old with so much money can bring a lot of trouble. If I had the money I have now and what I'm making when I was 20 I would probably not be here. With all the $$$$ comes a lot of responsibility. And parents also play a huge role in the child's education, but still, it is not an excuse, one must be respectful and most important a gentleman.

I agree with you Doc however we dont even know anything more than a complaint and an arrest was made with no details. Its mere assumption and the press runs with more false stories than real ones. Most of them would be out of business if it were only for truth in advertising.

Yo Rick...

No Rick, you don't get it..We are all sensitive in some respects. Do you know anyone who has cancer? Do you know anyine that is an alcoholic? Then you'll know what I'm coming from, you don't know me..Don't make this like you owe me an apology, ain't nothing like that. Unless you've stepped in my shoes, you have no clue nor will you.

Well I just saw that my Top 40 station has pulled Christ Brown until further notice with listener support 52% in favor of it.

I'm one of those 52% who are in favor.

As soon as he's cleared of all charges, he'll be OK to play again.

Perhaps RH started it......if he has claw marks on his arms, that would prove he wasn't the instigator.

I take domestic abuse very seriously......

and so does the general public. Remember IKE TURNER, another famous wife beater?

Ironic because in this case....Brown may gain 'street cred' by going to prison!

And, in the case of RH, she will get a whole bunch of sympathy just like Tina Turner (if she really was the victim of a mean drunk and did not start the limo brawl).

Yeah to both ;)

Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on yer perspective -- I have become rather numb (or insensitive). I've literally held the hands, of almost every immediate family member as they passed, for whatever reason they passed -- some weren't very pretty.

At this point in time, the only ones left, are me and my brother.

My military background, also has some interesting memories... :sqerr:

Either way, what I was just trying to say, is that if we live in those past dark moments -- we become them, and they take over our soul, and our future.

I live for the present, and the future -- and don't dwell on water under the bridge. Just my way, and nothing is sacred in my eyes, when it comes to humor :)
