EIC vs Power Conn:
Do both!!! Definately use the power con on the exterior of the case and definately use a 90 degree cable. Make sure you always store the cable in the case instead of a seperate wire box. If they are always together you shouldn't have a problem.
As a form of backup, wire an IEC plug as well. You can either flush mount it on teh case as well or just tuck it inside the case. That will be your backup. Obviuosly, you have to make sure you never plug both in as the same time. To prevent anyone else from doing this you can use some electrical tape or if you are using the screw on type, simply make a small plastic plate and screw the plate over the plug using the same screws that you would secure the plug. If you end up in a pinch, someone always has an IEC cors hanging around somewhere and a screw driver.
Awesome job Hank! what would you say the weight of tha case is?
Hank,
Great job and thanks for sharing the pics! I'm motivated now to build one with space for two laptops and Mackie ProFX8 mixer in the middle. ....

Werry nice Hank!
I need to ask- Do you take Laptop out when youre done with a gig?
WOW!
One question: Do you have a back up plan in case the Toshiba goes south?

Nice case Hank. Let's see: laptop, small mixer, wireless mic. All you need is music and a sound system and you too can be a DJ. lol
Sorry, couldn't resist.![]()
Now that's a clean setup! I think it's really nice, I'm not a big fan of the carpeting but that's just a personal pet peeve of mine.
where do I send my dimensions for my order?
Great job! That looks awesome.
Where's the facade? lol
That is sweet! No carry or lifting handles?
Hank,
That is a very nice piece of work!
