My partner and I are going to design & build our website. I did a small site with Microsoft FrontPage (discontinued) a few years ago. If you are doing your own work, what HTML editor are you using?

I used to use Microsoft Publisher. It is a good program. But this past year, I discovered WEB Easy Professional and it is a great web publishing program.

Yea but keep in mind I only deal in html & css code, nothing too earthshattering. Any javascripts I use are shareware. And I'm not even really using css to it's full potential to design the pages, all the design work is done in Photoshop.
+1. It's nice on Windows, doesn't even require and install just unzip and run the exe.
For the most part I use a plain text editor though.

I don't use the extensions and all that crap, just FTP the code.
Funny thing is, when I try to put anything fancy on my sites, my sales drop off drastically. So I always go back to the same crumby ol' site (which I don't even like) -- but people buy -- go figure... :sqconfused:

For quick changes I use the basic editor built into the FTP software that I use. The functionality is the same as notepad.
For quick layout I use FrontPage.
For complex ASP coding I use PrimalScript...a really fancy version of notepad.
I also use Notepad for quite a few VBS scripts.
My suggestion is to experiment with whatever you can find and figure out what you feel most comfortable with. There have been a number of good suggestions so far.

I relay heavily on vBulletin mods, and use vi as my unix based test editor when working with html and php files.
That's certainly not going to be a popular answer!
