Yup.... if ya leave all of the dips off except 10... it should run through all of it's programs sequicially.... and all you should have to do is supply sound and adjust the sensitivity knob.....

Max that knob out and put on some hip-hop.... with some bangin' bass and see what ya get.

I'm at work.... no music. I'm just trying to make it run manually.

OK, I had ONLY switch 9 on, and no lights came on.

I think I am going to send it back and get 2 regular strobes.

Sounds like ya got a DOA.... is the red indicator light lit? I wouldn't give up on that type of light.... I'd exchange it first then go from there.

Nope. :sqfrown:

Papa, check the fuse ;)

I would have to take the unit apart to get to the fuse. There is no external fuse.... not worth it.

Look where you put your power cable there is a compartment right there that should just pop off and expose the fuse.

See pic below...

Rob got it. it's right where you plug the IEC cord. Small flat head screw driver will do the trick.

OK, so I opened it and even changed the fuse. There was a spare. It still wouldn't light up.

Thanks, all!

Oh, and yes, the outlet works. :sqwink:

Papa I will be back into the office on Tuesday 8am until 5 give me a call and I will take care of you. I am sorry that this happened and we will make sure that your replacement unit works before we send it out.

If 8-5 does not work let me know what does and i will make sure that I am there for you.

Kat, I have ZERO worries about NLFX taking care of their customers. None at all.

I have sat here and read this thread tonight and after you getting the wrong light to begin with and THIS happening I'm like well crap! Making sure you are happy is top priority for us and I intend to kep it that way :)

Kat, any word on my back oders?

Chuck -

I logged into the office and it shows still on BO. That seems odd to me, I was sure the clamps in particular had come in by now. I'll make some calls on Tuesday.

Ben

(Sorry, I know you wanted an answer from Kat... she IS better looking)

So, the replacement came today and fired right up.... no video, but 1st impressions are that it doesn't stack up evenly with a traditional strobe.. I turned it on in a dimly lit TV studio that must be 1000 SF, though, and the light was hitting every wall, incuding 30' high ceilings.

IMO, it will cover the average dance floor just fine, just maybe not as well as a traditional strobe,
