Hi all, it feels nice to be back after quite a long time..though i had been following the forum silently on a regular basis. I am still waiting for Steve's reply to the Hercules RMX's availability in India! lols.. for months! Just kiddin steve. Well anyway right now I am making my own mixes using ableton live 6.0.9 and though the quality is okay, i am not fully satisified with it and sometimes when i use mp3 as loops , the quality is quite a let down. Midi format loops are excellent. Well i would like you here to kindly guide me at a good solution for mastering my mixes. I would be very happy if you could tell me or suggest to me something that could be incorporated into Ableton. I am not a Pro or a fulltimer..just a partime dj ( Doctor being my profession). I was suggested IZOTOPE as a good software for mastering. But i am not able to incorporate it into Ableton or is it a stand alone software. Please do help me out. Thank you

1.If you want to do mixes in Ableton Live(Dj Tiesto,BT..use this softwere for live performance)you have to master youre songs before using it in Live.Mp3s are NOT so loud as Midi Loops or Audio Tracks.
2.If you want you can make a mix and after when you have one track stereo mix pull up the volumen at the places you need and after that you master the whole track in Ableton or any other Audio music making softwere.
3.If you work with Hercules Console-you work with VDJ or Traktor(i think).
So, if you like Midi Loops you can export them from Ableton as Audio Loop or Mp3 loop, so you can mix them in youre performance as Sample or Loop.

I know that you may like multi tracker Ableton but dont forget that is a Music making softwere and Djs which play with it ARE Producers and they use it to Remix the songs on fly and life.
I try the softwere for a month and it IS fun but when you play at some Gig with Requests and other things i was not impressed any more.I became the Ableton with my Midi keys from M-Audio and i use the softwere only as Rewire(connecting more softweres to work sinchron). My primary softwere is Cubase4 and as Rewire-Ableton and Reason-but thats another story for another threat.

I hope i helpt you a bit!Good luck!

Thanks so much for ur reply. I will look into it soon. But the thing is that i dont use ableton for live gigs..i use it only at home for creating or producing my own mixes. In that manner i suppose, ableton rocks!! :)
