Yes the load in was horrendous even with my mini system and I am sitting with ice on my knee having wrenched it pretty good but the event was a blast and proof that 20-30 folks can party proper as well as the crowds of 100+. Heres some pics.:sqwink:

one last note: I spoke to Mr K who generously offered his services to roadie for me if my knee doesnt get better as I have two gigs upcoming this week. Thanks Johnny!!

I've done some boat gigs, and don't like them at all. Load in and out is always a PITA, or in this case PITK (Knee).

Jon- I hope the knee injury mends quickly. The knee in the most vulnerable joint in your body, and knee injuries have a tendency to be forever.

Glad to hear all went well 'old man'! I'm happy to hear you didn't have engine trouble like my last time I was on that yacht's big brother; sorry about the crappy load in.

You'd better rest up for the next gig; remember, no side-kicks at Swanny! Sorry Johnny...

I hope he played Gilligans Island as they were boarding! Richard Cheese does a great version!

Keep those knees! Without 'em you can't bend 'em and that means you can't LIFT anything w/o screwing up your back.

That's why I stopped doing "boat" gigs, I hate the motion sickness and I'm always getting either my gear, my body, or one of my shoes/suits scuffed or nicked!

How many people have yachts in Sacramento???:sqlaugh:

hes talking about boats in the Sacramento River.

that too.....I was thinking about the last "ferry" expedition to Tinsley (sp?) island, home of the Saint Francis Yacht Club (near Isleton & Rio Vista).

The last trip, I had something under my front bumper come loose, when I drove in/out of the "ferry" in my minivan (there is a very steep bump into what used to be a WW2 landing craft). No real damage but it made a loud rattling noise until whatever got loosened was screwed back on by my mechanic!

Back in the 70's I lost a Bose 802. It fell overboard in Boston Harbor. I was getting ready to embark the ship and it bumped and thus toppled my two speakers.
I have been waiting for Aquaman to find it for me but the waters there are so muddy!
