We don't market to ... Karaoke [shudder].., .

Ahem......um, and here I was thinkin' we could be friends....:sqeek::sqwink:

Oh yeah, almost forgot, for the thread: Primarily a Karaoke Host ( not a "KJ"), with additional mixed DJ/Karaoke events. I try to avoid DJ only [shudder] events, but will prostitute myself for them if the money is right.

I don't do school events, and stopped accepting weddings a year ago 'cause I hate 'em. I filled that niche with Corporates.

Never been a fan of karaoke, not in my business plan. Yet another library to keep track of... and it disrupts the dance floor.

I mostly do teen events.

I see you have never really been to a Karaoke Show! Just because it is karaoke does not mean the dance floor suddenly empties out.

I used to do a gig at a local high school which had several activities running at the same time.

Karaoke inside the Caf, Band in the Gym, events outside, etc. etc. they stopped asking me to come last year because they couldn't get the kids out of the Caf ao see or participate in the other activities that were going on. This was exactly what the teacher who hired me each year told me and she is a big fan of Karaoke!

If the karaoke host is really good, then most people will still dance. But then most of the singers at the main show here where i live *not mine unforunately* could go on Canadian idol and have a GOOD chance of winning..

but as the saying goes, to each their own
