If it's any help I've received requests for Paradise By The Dashboard Light at many weddings over the years. If they want it, Wolfie will play it. :)

I also play Paradise from time to time. Try following it with Still The One by Orleans.

Maybe this should go on the list of songs that we THINK will work but never do but I swear....everytime I play "Let's Dance" by Bowie i think it will go over like crazy but it never does! Argh! I'm just probably a sucky dj! :sqlaugh:

Actually it does better (for me) as a Lead-In to the dance portion of an event.

Whenever its requested by a client, I make it the last song of dinner music.

("Sweet Caroline" is another one of those songs that falls into the category of "too sucky to dance to, but fun to listen to")

Sweet Caroline works for me most of the time. Sometimes I'll follow it with Come on Eileen depending on the crowd. It makes a fun singalong set.'

Works better if they've been drinking :sqwink:

Just ran across "Livin' After Midnight" Judas Priest....I don't think I've ever played it at an event but it seems like it might work well in a classic rock set. I have the Rock 'N Beat DJ Turbo version which sounds almost identical to the original. I could see some 50 yr olds screaming with giddy joy when that guitar kicks in!

That's the thing...I always thought "Let's Dance" was an easy, great song to dance to. It has a heavy beat but maybe it's just because I'm such a talented dancer and that I can dance to anything....:sqlaugh:

Bowie has special significance for me, as his G/H cd was the ONLY compact disc that ever got STUCK IN MY CD PLAYER.

(It was a Numark CDN-34s.......I was able to remove the sticky disc, the culprit was one of those heavily inked label sides......sold the player to another DJ and he hasn't had any problems with the unit....)
