Just looking to get some thoughts from you guys and gals as to what light or lights do you put behind your lighted facade? Just want to find out what works for you and why you use the lights you do for your lighted facade? I saw a picture of a setup on DJ CHAT with a great looking lighted facade. It was totally awesome! If you have pictures can you please post them as well.

Here is what I did for now.

Isn't the purpose of the Facade to hide wires and clutter behind/around the DJ booth so that it is not visible from the front? Also, have you not asked this same question several times before? Still searching for an answer you like?

Agreed the wires need to be better placed and I did say I was just doing what I'm doing for right now till I can afford to get some more lights to add in the back of the facade that will look right. That what I'm doing right now does work but doesn't look very good. It will just pass and for me that's just not good enough.

I think i've mentioned this once before but i HIGHLY recommend the American Dj Mega Bar 50 - I use 2 with my facade. One mega bar for each of the big panels up front, Yours looks like it has one larger panel so just get 2 Mega bar 50's and put them together. To keep it simple it comes with a nice remote so you can set a solid color for when there's just talking going on or for example dinner/toasts or slow dances at a wedding and then just click the sound active button on the remote for dance time. Also, they now have a Battery powered version ( the Mega Go Bar 50 ) that is still under $200/light so you can just set them there and not even have to worry about using any power at all.

You know Mix you can get black cords.... and oh yeah.... Velcro does wonders with cable management.... come on now... that's a nice facade why ruin the effect with Orange and White power cords and zero cable management?

Yup, those are what I use to.... nice lights.

I bought some black cords and velcro. I just need a black 50' extension cord. I finally found one at a Home Depot in Elizabeth for $30.00.

A 50 foot cord for $30???? must 16 Gauge, I wouldn't use that for DJ Gear. I make my own out of 10 gauge

Unless you are running a bank of High Powered Amps or from a far distance, 10 Gauge can be overkill and not necessary. Thats not what is even in the wall.

I think those sre the ones I was thinking of getting to use for the facade and eventually getting more for uplighting. Especially since the battery it says last for 8 hours. I don't see us doing an event that the lights will go out. 8 hours is a long time. At most we do events are for 6 hours unless it's a block party which can last all day and I wouldn't use lights for that.

Yeah, they'd be perfect for both uses. That's the best part about them is that they are good for multiple applications.

I tried that once and it didn't work out Drzinc. It looked awesome one the edges but was dark and shadowed in the center. Seemed like a great idea at the time though!

Not necessarily I bought a 50' 12 Gauge cord at the local Canadian Tire store here for $25
