What if your wife pressured you to lower your price for one of her friends?

Isn't it? Maybe I'm being "hard line" here, but please elaborate on how is this not what's going on here?

No, you are not being hard line. That is just the way you see it and the differences of opinion is a great ingredient God placed in ALL of us. I am not going to convince you otherwise. And it is not my place to try. Your input and views are just as important as everyone else's.

and I agree with Steve ( how unlikely) Thats three in a row perhaps I should close the thread and go buy a lotto ticket.:sqwink::sqbiggrin::sqlaugh::rofl::sqcool: lol.

me too, but that's not what is going on here.

(BTW, these are always my favorite topics. I love discussing and working toward a strong healthy marriage.)

And I'm trying to discuss this with you, but you've apparently opted out.

I'm not asking to be convinced otherwise, I'm trying to see your point of view. It's not your place to try and elaborate on something you asserted?

I have no luck with the lottery, but I could get excited again about the Royal Flush I hit in Vegas, if you'd like :)

And now for my answer to Chuck's question.

Establish a policy of not doing events for friends or family, no exceptions. Just tell them that this is your policy, period. If wifey don't like it, too bad.

Tom I believe a bible verse discusses decisions by the head of household as well.

And since he's the man then he's the head of the household. :sqwink:

Ladies, note the wink.

In all sincerity, I know that there are folks on this board that have this policy. If I had it all to do over again that would be mine.

Thank Steve, I can see an argument that there will be no resolution coming. These are sometimes disguised as "discussing". Opting out is a good way to put it. I like that! I call it choosing my battles. My post was my point. And in trying to help you see my point of view, I would then be percieved as trying to convince you to see it. And that is not what I am not wating to do.

However, getting excited about a Royal Flush is a good thing! I hope the stakes were high!

Bottom line for me:
I always enjoy Papa's threads and look forward to the ones I can get involved in. He is a great guy and I love him!

So, you're the one! :sqlaugh:

How good of friends are they to you? How good of friends are they to your wife? If they are close friends and have showed it sometime not just once in a blue moon, I would do it to not only please my wife but to repay them for the favor they have done me if any. If they only calll when in need, I will tell them to Fu!koff and sleep in "The Man Room." (My Studio) LOL........

Papa,

The next time your wife asks you to discount your business services tell her you'll take the difference in trade from her, and then demand discounts for anything to which she assigns more value than you.

Tell her, according to the TV show COPS, crack addicted females provide certain sexual services for as little as $5. A $200 discount makes for at least 40 enjoyable trades.:sqwink:
