I've been doing Karaoke for years and I never really sing... once in awhile I will sing "King Tut"

But I am starting a new club that we may have to build a clientel...

so I feel like I may need to sing. For those of you who can't sing but do, what do you sing?

I'm thinking "Wild Thing" any help would be great.....

When I have guys that don't sing very well, I use songs like Soul man, Margaritaville, Great balls of fire, Bad bad Leroy Brown (lots of back up vocals on that one), Taking care of business, Devil went down to Georgia, Good Golly Miss Molly, most of these you don't really need a great singing voice you just need to know the words.

"Tequila" is another great one, especially if you aren't shy about dancing to it.

Maybe a bit too minimal? Anyway, a male can usually talk his way through most Neil Diamond, and a female can talk through a bunch of Cher. Duets? The easiest is probably "I Got You Babe" with the added bonus that Sonny couldn't sing either....

Now that I think about it.....anything I want! It's Karaoke, not world hunger..

Come to think of it, there's not a song listed, including my own, that I haven't heard somebody massacre at one time or another.

Maybe we should take on world hunger first, then try to find an easy Karaoke song.:sqwink:

Personally, I can't sing. I go with the sound of silence.

Seriously, stuff you can talk your way through. Maybe King Tut.

I personally think any Rap "song" would do...

I'll sing B*** Me by Red Peters. Alot of people never heard of that song and it takes them by surprise.

How about "Strokin'" by Clarence Carter? It's a song that I've seen "non-singers" do. They have lots of fun with it and the crowd actually loves it here.

Gotta tell ya: I have a woman that comes in late at night who does this song, with -ahem- interpretive dance and truly emotive singing. Probably the most entertaining thing I have seen in all my years of karaoke. Funny, sexy, just a blast! Made even better by the fact that the woman looks like a school librarian ( she actually does off-broadway musicals)

If you've got a semi-deep voice you can't hardly mess up Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash either. Another good one might be House Of The Rising Sun by __________ o crap my brain died.... someone fill in the blank.

Above all else remeber this is "Karaoke" not "American Idol".... you are allowed to suck... no really it's ok.

There are lot's of songs that don't require actual singing! Here are some of my favorites: Baby Got Back, Bust A Move, Devil Went Down To Georgia, Hot Rod Lincoln, Big Balls(AC/DC), Cowboy(Kid Rock). Also, some of the straight forward blues stuff is very easy to sing. My favorites: Flip, Flop & Fly(Blues Bros.), She Caught The Katy(Blues Bros.), My Ding-A-Ling(C. Berry)
