Thanks for sharing this. It's a good reminder that we all need to be diligent and prepared at a moment's notice to switch off to backup playback. Your post reminds me that I often will download gig-specific tracks to my main laptop and yet fail to line them out on the backup laptop. Obviously, I've gotta change this practice and need to fully prepare both units in addition to updating the ipod (my 3rd line of defense) in case both units go down. Good for you on keeping your head cool and handling the situation. As long as the client never knows, the problem never happened.....
