Have used Yahoo for hosting and had no issues what soever with their service. I left them only because I had some specific needs that they could fulfill.
For Basic and beginners you can't go wrong with Yahoo.

Not anymore..their rates skyrocketed recently, which caused me to leave them. $40 a year for a domain, and hosting starts at $12 a month...too much for me.

I looked at both Costco web hosting ($14.95 per month) and Travis.
Travis is really competitive with other hosting firms--- AND he's one of us (knows the industry).

I had a horrible experience with dot5hosting moving another client. Search the boards and you'll see my post. It was a NITEMARE moving away from them. Plus their servers were constantly going down for no reason. Search google for customers reviews.
