Same identical situation again I would take the $20 again from the DJ but probably give it all to the Wedding Coordinator. Win Win for me .....I saved the day for the DJ at a minimal cost to him and gained bonus points with a person that can get me more business.

Enough said. There's no way anyone on here will get you to keep an open mind. Your mind is made up that you did the right thing. End of story and good luck with your future endeavors.
Hard to get a new idea to go into a closed mind. Since your mind was already made up that you did the right thing, why did you put us through all of this? You could have saved us all the drama.
I'm not in this business for charity events or to help out other DJs operating in my that are in chasing the same dollar that I am in search of.
