Version 7.0 of VDJ brought in rewire, so it allows me to map ableton through it. P nice.

Thinly veiled shots are cute...

VDJ is a solid software as are Mixmeister and Rockit and several others I haven't played much with. I've done video on MM and VDJ and in my opinion MM was the better ofr the two

But, as a TOTAL all-around package for music, video & kroakie with all the bell-n-whistles and stability offered, I believe Virtual DJ to be leaps above all others mentioned.

I have had a VIP Licence for years, and only used it a handful of times... That all changed when I got my Denon D-MC6000!!! VDJ goes with that thing like a fat kid and cake. It is easily one of the greatest pieces of software I have ever used, I just needed the right equipment for it! (I have been using turntables for years, and Serato was just easier during that time).

You could well be right Randy the last time I personally did Karaoke I was using Laser Discs but as far as Music or Video I prefer MM. I don't know if there is a whole lot of difference in any of them it's more personal preference and features that one uses

just because it can play Karaoke doesnt mean it does it well.

It plays karaoke just fine... and for some who still do rotations by hand or by an open notepad onscreen it's fine.... the karaoke plugin that is suppose to do this does suck... and for karaoke administration handling (ie rotations) I'd use Karma.

I just downloaded the free home version of VDJ. It is pretty cool. I don't have a lot of music on my laptop, it is all on my external. Going to have to hook that up and play some more.

I have tried a couple demos and by far this is the best I have played with.

All controller bros should post and OD on midi everything

Let me translate then:

"All controller bros should post and OD on midi everything"

Translation:

All DJ's on this board who use controllers for their software should make a post glorifying the purity of knobs and jog dials while buying more midi controllers to the point of excess.
