Updating my mixer to a Rane MP44!

I just got mine and absolutely love it. Worth every penny :D:D:D:D:D:D
 
It will still be working when you retire. How's that for a business equipment purchase? :)
 
That Zone S2 looks like a really sweet machine. I am going to do some reading up on this thing. If you are going to go the rotary route, you have to give the Rane 2016a a
look also. I have one and trust me you don't need the expander unless you like to drop the bass and treble between mixes. That is one of the reasons why I went with the 44.
 
This is a shot of the 2016a. I love the knob style mixers.. It brings the club style of mixing to each mobile event. The expander adds the eq's and cross fader, but for mixing House and Reggae, I refuse to use a cross fader. That is why I did not purchase the expander.

Yes John, I do drop the treble and bass in my mix so it does need to have that option. The A&H also has a choice linear or rotary VCA channel faders. The only thing I don't know if it has a Booth or Zone option when I connect a monitor to my system. I like to have control of the volume from the mixer. Anymore feedback will be appreciated.

From the looks of it, I think it has a monitor out on the back. I love the fact that is has a mono out for the sub.
This has to be one of the best looking and performing mixers available for a Mobile Jock right now.

WOW! Hell yeah! That is a legend there man! LMAO

I have played with that and it is a classic. It takes a beating and continues to work. Although I am not comfortable with Rotaries you might have to give me a few pointer there John! LOL Thanks man it looks great.

BTW, what we talked about is still open for you so let me know when I will here your mixes on my show night! :sqlaugh:
 
Thanks Freddy. I will prep up a nice set for the show and drop it live. I am thinking maybe for next weekend on the 12th because I don't have any gigs booked for that weekend. I really appreciate it.

For sure! call me on Monday after 4PM and we will schedule a test to make sure you can broadcast with no skipping before your show.
 
You cannot go wrong with that purchase.

I paid $900 for mine, in brand new condition! (about 2-3 years ago).
Its an awesome piece of gear. Anyone who knows equipment will make a positive comment (usually happens at just about every event).

My previous mixers were: MP-24 (1988- still in excellent condition), and MP-24z (black model circa 2001)....my wedding console and backup mixer.
