There's gotta be an app to disable the trackpad!

Entertainly enough, one of my biggest gripes with the consumer line is that hideous back-hinge that so many companies have started going with. Even the newer Thinkpads seem to have it - and they were some of the nicest-looking laptops around before it. So ugly.

I don't see a hinge on mine. I mean there as to be a hinge but looking at it closed right now I don't see any of the obvious hinge cuts like older laptops had.

As an aside swapping the screen out on this e531 was drop dead simple.

Hmmm, the G530 Lenovo that I'm typing on has four separate buttons built into the case above the keyboard for: mute / volume up / volume down / disable touchpad.

If I recall, the 'outside hinge' was for tablet PC's - where the screen to fold back onto itself making a tablet.
