I was looking on YouTube on my iPod, for an old video I had seen on VH1, of Melissa & Joan Osborne, and ran across some cool Melissa vids. She has sooo much stage presence, it's amazing! I was actually gonna go see her once, front row tickets in a small venue, and I ended up blowing off the chick who got us the tickets (pounds head against wall) :sqerr:

So, here's a couple -- first is Melissa and Joan (interesting chemistry ;)), the second from Letterman, and the third is a cool acoustic version :)

Joan Osbourne...
Years ago (in my radio days), I was hanging out with Jethro Tull at Le Bat after their concert at The Beacon, and I met this girl who was Joan's PR person. This is before anybody knew who she was. The girl (can't remember her name, but she was cute) and I hit it off because she was living in my old home town in Jersey. Anywho, she offers to hook me up with tickets and passes to her next shows. She also sent me her only CD at the time, a live recording from Delta 88 (a great little hole in the wall jazz club that used to be down in Chelsea). CD wasn't bad, but I remember this great cover of Son Of A Preacher Man. I ended up never really following up with that girl (Wayde's turn to hit his head against the wall).

But holy crap...somebody actually posted that song on youtube, wow, haven't heard it in years. I still have that CD.
