M.O.M.

Kirby how is it? I read a story on it and it sounds like he kind of has it for the blue grasser. Interesting effort. Perhaps you do a revue of it.

Im listening to Methods of Mayhem once again it boosts the energy level as I head into Christmas events.:sqwink:

Long Road Out Of Eden - The Eagles

Finally got around to opening the CD.

This is cool -- classic Eagles -- feel like I'm back in the 70's

Even sounds like Glenn and Don are getting along somewhat; Tim hasn't changed, a hopeless romantic; and Joe is still as deranged as me :sqlaugh:

Meticulous production -- sound quality is second to none! :)

I've given up on doing any "reviews" as they go pretty much unread and spark no discussions about the music. :sqmad:

I got the album since no one wants to revue it and though I might not use it any more than the Brian Setzer new release I love the unique mellow almost eerie melodies.

ON to the Eagles Album I never expected any Heavy Rock songs though a few that sound as heavy as any other Eagles previous releases were there including
Frail Grasp On The Big Picture
Somebody
the 1st released single-How Long
Business As Usual
How Long
Guilty Of The Crime

a great effort by a band who hasnt released much new music in the past couple decades and still staying true to their previous styles and sound.
I give it a Big 8.5 of 10

Good call Jon, IMHO.

I'd probably give it a 9 or better though -- but I'm an Eagles freak :)

My favorite song (so far), is Long Road Out Of Eden, as it paints an interesting picture

You can miss the presence of Felder though, as he was a closet rocker. Also, a big Frey influence on this album, whereas the older seemed more Don dominated...

And Joe is just as hilarious as he's always been

How Long was released on CDX awhile back. Guess the Eagles are marketing to Country music fans now?

It is good to hear Don Henley singing again. I have always appreciated his talents. :)

"Vacation is the perfect occupation, for me"... :sqlaugh:

I give the whole CD a 7.... but if not for disc 2, I would have given it a 5, maybe a 6.

See if you can guess (without looking it up)...

1st Verse:

Whatever happened to Saturday night?
When you dressed up sharp and you felt alright
It don't seem the same since cosmic light
Came into my life
I thought I was divine
I used to go for a ride with a chick who'd go
And listen to the music on the radio
A saxophone was blowing on the rock 'n' roll show
We climbed in the back seat
And really had a good time.
