I just picked up two 1.5tb Segate Barracuda's for $250 from craigslist. I wont be needing storage for a long time. One will be a complete backup of my music and the other will be for the tunes and videos. This will be added to my 1tb and 750mb drives.

Make sure you do a complete sweep and erase everything. I have seen some weird stuff on used hard drives that people thought they erased.

Who said they were used they are factory sealed!

It was a warning just in case they were used, like I said i've seen some strange stuff turn up on hard drives.
A friend of mine bought a refurbished ipod from Future Shop and it had about 60 naked pictures of the previous owner's girlfriend still on it.

Not a bad thing for me and the thousands of others who saw the pics, bad when the girl starts getting recognized.
The bad happens when pictures like child pron start showing up and i've seen that happen before too. A friend of mine bought a used hard drive and turned it over to police the next day. Imagine getting busted for something like that after buying a second hand computer.
