I REALLY like the sign on the side of your trailer. Very colorful and eye catching. I wouldn't be surprised if you get calls from people who see it when you're driving around. I hate to be crass, but about how much would a graphic like that cost? I assume it's vinyl.

I like the contrast of the green on black, however it could use some pictures.

Steve, great system, however I have one problem, and thats with the trailer. It does look great, but have you ever considered the consequences of writing advertisements for a dj business on the outside of your trailer? To a thief, its like reading the words "expensive equipment inside, steal me!"
 
I don't worry about theft. I have insurance that covers me. The advertising brings in business, plus, it enhances my image at gigs.

It cost me $700 for design, printing and installation. It is printed on self adhesive vinyl. The company that did it for me went out of business. But there are many company's doing work such as this. A lot like the DJ Business.

They also printed me up and installed one of those see through rear window shades for my Envoy. That cost $75.

I get calls all the time from people who mention they got my number from the graphics on the traile or the car.
 
Is that $ for both sides of the trailer? One wedding will pay for that graphic. I could see parking that thing in different places around town for a few hours at a time like Home Depot, busy supermarkets etc. Sounds like great advertising for the low, low.
 
That was for both sides and the back as well!
They also made me a nice banner .

A banner is something I want badly and will be one of the first things I get in the near future. It will be on the front of my table or facade displayed prominently and with pride. I know some folks have said they don't use banners or think they are in poor taste. I couldn't disagree more.
 
The use of a banner is really dependant on the event. At a school dance, or Sweet 16, it is very appropriate. But at a wedding, it is distasteful, as it attempts to draw attention, and the attention should be on the Bride & Groom.
 
My company is called Platinum Plus Entertainment and I plan on making the banner with a black background, white letters and somehow incorporating silver in there. I plan on using a simple Helvetica type font and making it very classy and very simple looking. I want to use black fabric or black carpet for the front of the facade so the banner should blend right in other than the lettering. I think if it's done as I envision it, it should be appropriate for any venue or event. I think it will look very professional. Since I'm new to all of this I'll just have to see what happens. If people at weddings object, well, I aim to please, the banner disappears, no problem.
 
I have found that in most cases, the clients do not object to the banner advertising at their event. But it is their guests that bring it to their attention or pitch a bitch, ultimately embarrassing the client for permitting the use of the banner.

As you go forward, you will actually see DJ's advertising that you'll not see their banner at your event.

At a wedding, the attention should always be on the Bride. Nothing should take away from that. If you are doing the proper job at the wedding, people will come up ad ask you for your business information.

At a Sweet 16 or School Event, people will rarely attempt to speak with you about business, so banner advertising, and the distribution of your business cards on tables, near the rest rooms, near the coat check, on the bar, is fine.

Front truss was all conventionals and drew 8000w. The on stage truss was all LED and drew 361w.
