Your going to need a mixer if you want to plug in a microphone and the controller to the amp without problems. Its considered a necessity, I'd never run a controller directly to my amp, its not designed to be run that way.

ive had this mixer for some time and let me tell you its a night and day diffrence
8 moving heads for a wedding reception? Don't you think that's overkill?
I don't think it's overkill, I think it's sweet. He doesn't have to have them moving all the time, they could be set to static and just be used for color changing during slow songs or something like that.
Besides, if the wedding party wants to pay for something like that, why not? The customer is ALWAYS right if they got the money to back it!

figured i would bump this thread, i dont really DJ for a second job or anything i have just filled in an emergency or done a couple benefits for free.
But here is a couple pics from the other night...Nothing huge and great, all cheap stuff but works really well..
I pretty much built the light bar my self works really well..The only thing for it i bought was the speaker stands..
