I currently own 2 QSC HPR122i speakers. I want to add subs. I was thinking either the QSC 181i 's or Yorkville ls800p 's. I have heard the 181i in person and it sounds good, however I have heard that the Yorkville beats it.

What are your opinions? I do mainly teen/school events and need a lot of bass. Which subs would be best for me and my tops?

Agreed with John. Cabinets of the same brand tend to compliment each other. If memory serves, they're designed to be used together anyway.
 
I am trying to bite my tongue and not diss Yorkville because I think they have some great equipment.

Unfortunately, I have had some bad luck with my LS800p. The first one I got came with a faulty amp, now the one I have is in the shop. It worked fine the last time I used it then I went to turn it on the next time and the breaker on the amp popped. Haven't heard back from the shop yet. I have only been using it for 6 months and don't use it at most shows.

I am thinking of switching to the QSC 18's after some time.
 
I'm using Yorkville's LS 808 subs with my QSC 153i and they work awesome. Two 808s when coupled will give you a 140 db peak. Because the 808 subs are passive you can bring a back up amp with you if something goes wrong.
