Spinning in the mist. Got me pissed.

I played a wedding yesterday knee deep in Hackettstown, NJ. Provided wireless Uplights, ceremony mic and music and of course 5 hours of reception dancing.

Even though there was no rain, the weather was slightly breezy with a boat load of mist. I had to wipe my gear down all day because the damn wedding was outdoors with no tents or covering. My personal pop up tent did no good. I really feel bad for exposing my gear to those conditions.

The minute I got home. I unloaded everything and opened all cases and covers to let my gear air dry in the garage. I doubt there will be any damage to my stuff, but this is the last time I will play in conditions like this.
John,

Hope your gear is undamaged.

Nothing untoward, that you described, was unforeseeable nor unavoidable and suggest that in the future you prepare better/more diligently.

Art, I like your game plan. I won't be doing this again. The beach is another place I find it a pain in the butt to play at. I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind for future gigs.

I've already decided upon "beach side" wedding ceremony and receptions; exception is covered with sides in case of rain but on land.
