To many ads? Support ODJT and see no ads!
Call KPODJ and ask for Joe or Tom. Tell them Adrian told you about them and see what their prices are. Great guys with super prices!

I'm planning to buy 4, 50ft speaker cables with speak-on connects at each end. Any suggestions that are less than $50 each? BTW Canute, are the cheaplights.com cables any good? They've got some 50s for $30.

You seem to forgot Canute gets his cables at the dollar store.

I make my own. The better the speaker cable the better it is for your speakers. Remember, if you are using Powered you need Signal Cables. If you are using Amplifiers you need Speaker Cables. The longer the run and/or the more powerful the Amplifier the bigger the gauge of wire it should be.

I bought speaker cables from Cheaplights but have never used them. I was on my way to a gig on the Northside last year and forgot to bring spares with me so I popped in to Cheaplights and bought two 100' speaker cables. The problem with their cables is that they have plastic jackets, I much prefer the rubberized jackets. When properly rolled (The over under way) they lay flat when thrown out.

Like Canute I make most of my own cables. I buy bulk cable and ends as I need.

I buy neutrik speakon connectors from parts express and bulk speaker cable from amazon using amazon prime to save on shipping cost.

I also received my first order from the place Mix refers too, KPODJ.com. They are legit, Item arrived 3 business days after I ordered. Might want to give them a try, cheap prices and free s/h.

Check out Monoprice.com.

Monoprice cables are absolute CRAP. I've tried them & never again. You will hear crackling & other noices. The connections are loose & the audio quality is very noticeable.

Their short cables, connectors & adapters aren't bad, but anything over 10 ft. no friggin' way.
You get what you pay for...crap.

Just checkout KPODJ.com and get their number. Call them up not just for speaker wires but other gear and see what their prices are like. Don't go by the website prices. Speak to Joe or Tom and you'll see their prices can't be great. Great customer service too. They actually call you back.

Please do not forget the fine people at NLFX in your search... Great people and great service, (And they help us keep the lights on here at ODJT headquarters)

Glad you posted about the noise issue. My purchase was strictly for power cords (IEC) in various lengths for wall up-lighting. Before you even posted, I made decision to use them for ONLY up-lighting; color coded each according to length. Added value of color coding--won't get them mixed up with other IEC speaker cords or power cords.

I wouldn't purchase XLR cords from them anyway.

I Buy the boxes of Monster Cables (200 feet or more)

then I buy the Best connectors and create them as I like!
