So how would YOU uplight this one?

Looks good Rick Ryan. I would have changed the setup a bit so things won't look so congested in your area. You are even blocking part of the screen.
Referring to the first Pic. I would have placed the speakers on each side of that shorter wall at the corners of the dance floor, firing towards the longer distance, the opposite door. You could have moved your booth over a bit to the right side of the screen. The lights could have been just on the inside of each speaker.
In other words looking at your pic, the left speaker and left light stand could stay where they are to become the right side. The right speaker and stand could be moved to the left corner of the dance floor to become the left side. You would have had better fill and throw.
If you can, always point your speakers towards the longest opposite wall so you won't have "Bounce" from the shorter wall. Just a suggestion!

Would've worked better, audio-wise, but the porta-potties were outside that back door. It would've put my cables squarely in the lane of traffic. I did have that thought about the screen blockage but too late to do anything about it by that point. FYI, that rig was REALLY rattling the tin on that shed but it tickled me. I dug it.

I saw the "restrooms" sign and i know that the door would be used. That is why they make long cables. It is a barn, you could have used gaffers tape and neatly route the cables over the door along the beams.
I knew it would rattle. However it may have rattled less if you were aiming for the longer wall. you were getting a lot of "Bounce". The distance plus the bodies would have absorbed more of that energy. Now you know!

I would do exactly what you mentioned except for (1) bl-50 instead of (2) bl-15's

I would focus the lighting on the white siding (it reflects light better than the wooden beams). If you place them on the wooden beams, the saturation levels will be less which makes the effect not as noticeable. If you ever tried uplighting in a wooden panel room, it is not possible without selling them some pipe & drape.

Thanks for the ideas (although the gig was 3 weeks ago-<G>). I have a wooden panel job coming up so that gives me ideas on it. The only thing I can find in the room so far are the curtain sections and even those are dark.
