self rising speaker stands

Mike- I think we get it, its $134. I dont know you personally but calling the competition "Noodle Leg" isnt very mature. Its like me calling my competition " A55 Wipe Face" or " Lazy Eyes Freak", too bad, its a great product. There has to be a better more tactful way of slamming the competition without the name calling, especially with just 3 posts, and no one really knowing you, people might get the wrong impression.

I'm so glad you brought that up - please let me explain. First I had a business deal with ultimate a few years ago and they supplied me with TS80 GENERIC stands and I modified them into Frankenstands. Then the company was sold to Mike Belitz the current owner.

In 2007 Belitz tried several times to buy me out - I didn't want to sell it SO (drum foll please) HE JUST STOLE IT! I COULDN'T SAY THAT PUBLICLY UNLESS IT WERE TRUE OR I WOULD BE SUED FOR SLANDER.

And what did my friends at Ultimate tell me - sorry Mike it's not personal, just business". Personally I think that's the kind of attitude that got this country into the mess it's in now.

Regarding calling the rip off stand Noodle Legs that's because of both my engineers on separate times tried to open the legs of an ultimate and both hit themselves in the nuits - true friggin' story - one of the engineers then started calling them Noodle Legs.

As for the quality - sorry about that but I'm starting to get calls from my old custormers who bought the first Frankenstands that were made from Ultimate
(the same exact stand) that they sell as the TS-100 and the plastic "brake shoes" are breaking. We fixed that a long time ago with the new Frankenstands at our new factory.

So if I sound bitter now you understand The Rest Of The Story!

Mike with all due respect a simple no Map is this price and at conventions and on specials ran frequently they can be bought for a discount below Map. The rest of your issues are not necessary here. Business with your competition should be fought on different ground. This site is different than most and we do not take kindly to bashing especially when one is not here to catch your rage. Does this make any sense? I understand the need to clarify an erroneous price mentioned but beyond that fight the other battles elsewhere. F1 is for speakers that weigh between 45 and 50 pounds
F2 is for speakers that weigh between 60 and 80 pounds
and the newest stand F3 for speakers between 30 and 40 (as in the new EON)

Regarding the gas struts - if you are fearful of them fading call me directly and I'll give you a ten year warrenty / check that call me and I'll give you a LIFE TIME WARRENTY - I'm on my sixth year with my personal Frankenstands and they keep on ticking - I mean how many times a week can you actually use them - they are supposed to go up and down some 20-thousand cycles!

Thanks for the clearification... when I first heard of the stands about a year ago the price I found was around $200.00 nice to see that has changed.
 
Mike sorry to hear about the rip that's a tough thing. Have you considered using your same principal and making a light stand that can easily raise like your speaker stand. And I don't mean using your current system as a light stand. I mean something with maybe a metal truss on top with lets say 4 to 5 feet of room on it. A super heavy duty T bar type truss.

List price somewhere - but as we all know that is a BS price. Right now the MAP is $134.99 and that is way below the Noodle Leg copy and yes they "copied" it.

It wasn't you ben... I was generalizing the price from what I had seen when these things first hit the market.

I stand corrected however.

Thanks Steve,

But personally, I don't like the look of crank stands. They look too 'mechanical' to me. I'm a neat-freak. I like a super clean looking setup. Even in the picture I posted, my cord management is below my usual standards.
 
So...you guys put the heavy speaker on top of the pole?

Interesting concept. I don't use speaker poles.
